Any patient
suffering with flu type symptoms are
requested NOT to attend the Practice
in person.
• Stay at
home and check your symptoms
at the National Pandemic Flu
Service

• You should call your GP
directly if:
- you
have a serious
underlying illness
- you are pregnant
- you have a sick child
under one year old
- your condition
suddenly gets much worse
- your condition is
still getting worse
after seven days (or
five days for a child)
Flu Friend
– This can be a friend or
relative (who does not have
symptoms of flu) who could, if
needed, collect your
authorisation letter for
antivirals from the Practice and
take it to the nominated
collection point.

Please note: when you attend the
antiviral collection point the
flu friend will need
identification for themselves
and the patient. Eg
Driving Licence, Passport, ID or
NHS card, recent paid utility
bill. (Full list of acceptable
ID will be attached to your
authorisation letter.)
Antivirals are not available
from the Practice or Pharmacies.
