what is depression?

Depression is a very common problem and affects up to 25% of the population at some time.

When to seek help

If your low mood interferes with your home, family or work, lasts for two weeks or more, or brings you to the point of thinking about suicide, you may be experiencing clinical depression and you should seek help We would like to see you if you do think that you may have clinical depression. You may make an appointment with the triage nurse.

Please make sure that you bring along a completed patient health questionnaire to your appointment.  The completed questionnaire will allow us to determine just how depressed you are so that we can concentrate on helping you to get better.
